inadvertently

you sell your self
and sell everything that you have
and you will even lose
that which you never had:

you become a litmus test,
an object
that makes you aware of the system
that you have entered,
that surrounds you:
a corporation, a town, a village
versus
a friendship that is non-contractual, non-systematized,
unemcumbered free-choice

Soon you get to feel the rules, the glances,
soon you will see with your own eyes
what "never happens around here"

you get to measure inhumanity by its excess,
by voices louder than usual
as if the Code now rules via "unseen" transgressions
and you discover their unspoken secret operations
while your eyes are absent

you have become their obscene fantasy
which now motivates their system,
the whole place a theatre of shadows,
of same faces, repeatable faces

you have empowered their system
that obeys not the Law but their Code
turning you in a to be eviscerated fiction

you sold your self not as labour for a wage
but merely walked as a litmus test:

you've discovered a truth that cannot be told
but in a fiction

you've seen fantasy in action,
their reality an underground,
you've experienced instruments,
not reason, not thought itself
